When I first decided to pursue tutoring for the ACT, I told my parents that I preferred an in-person class because I could form a more fruitful relationship with my fellow classmates and tutor. Brian made that relationship more deep and rewarding than I could have ever imagined. Not only did he offer new strategies and skills for facing daunting tasks, but he encouraged me to lean into the abilities I already had. He taught my ACT course, and he did so effectively, but he also read my college essay, offered an ear while I made the tough choice to commit to a college, and asked about my artistic ventures at the same time. Brian gave me the courage to be the best version of myself, and I can’t imagine how my college trajectory would have panned out if it hadn’t been for him.
